Developing for your audience
Square Enix recently brought their iPhone and iPod Touch RPG title “Chaos Rings” to iPad. The game looks amazing, recalling the 3D graphics and beautiful design of Final Fantasy X for PS2. I wasn’t quite ready to put down the $16 on “Chaos Rings” for iPad so I decided to check out the game’s microsite. Strangely (or maybe not), I found a 100% Flash experience on...

Later Google Wave. Google Buzz next?
I was disappointed but not completely surprised by Google’s announcement that it was canning Google Wave as a standalone product. After all, how many of us really got into Wave after waiting with baited breath for an invite? Not many, apparently. Was it too advanced? Too ahead of its time? Or did we just not know what to do with it because it really didn’t fulfill any needs/desires...

I think I was as shocked as anyone to see a trending Twitter topic that was actually relevant to someone who isn’t a Justin Bieber fan. This email and its contents may be confidential. Making UI difficult by design
Interesting read over at six revisions regarding UI elements that you don’t want a user to click on. Good comparative screenshots and some MS Office potshots. http://sixrevisions.com/user-interface/making-user-interface-elements-difficu… Posted via email from Lung Convention | Comment »

Are RSS readers the real iPad news revolution?
We’ve seen the numbers on news and magazine apps for iPad and they’re not looking great. Sure, Wired had a great debut but what will happen when they release their second issue? On the other hand, RSS readers are experiencing a golden age, both in popularity and execution. Pulse News Reader, an elegant, simplistic RSS reader, has enjoyed a great run at number one in the App Store but...

Gizmodo's price per impression for breaking the...
If you care at all, you’ve seen the story by now: a young dude who works for Apple went out to a bar on his birthday, got his drink on, and lost the next gen iPhone that he was carrying on his person. Somebody inevitably found it, figured out what it was, then sold that to Gizmodo for a cool $10,000. As of this post, the article has over 5.5 million views, 57,000 Facebook shares, 32,538...

Buggy Ride through the Dominican Republic
This was amazing…down back roads, through a farm, stopped by an underground cave, and ended up at Macao beach, one of the last secluded beaches in the Dominican Republic. See and download the full gallery on posterous Posted via email from Lung Convention | Comment »

Mitt Romney vs. LMFAO: AIRPLANE FIGHT!
Full disclosure: this is a pretty lame fight but basically, that one dude from LMFAO with the crazy hair and Mitt Romney got into an altercation at 30,000 feet. LMFAO dude, Sky Blu, was trying to get his sleep on, which required him to recline his seat all the way into sweet Mitt’s lap. As anyone who has tried to nap on Romney’s crotch can attest, Mitt don’t play that. He yelled...

A great week for evil in Virginia
You elect a bunch of nut-job Republicans and now you get what you deserve. This week, the trio of McDonnell, Bolling, and Cuccinelli have gone after gay rights, Planned Parenthood, and the EPA. Next week, they plan to get all decked out in fur coats and club seals on Main Street. Pat Robertson, a Grand Wizard from the KKK, and Satan will be on hand as MCs. Later on, the six of them will stand on a...

Yeah, you read that right. I’m sittin’ here in the living room, trying to watch the fuckin’ kid, and this Tumblr shit is telling me that I got ZERO tumblarity (which I’ve ranted about before), which, yeah, okay I don’t post shit all that often and I guess that’s what the tumblarity is all about. Big shit. Half the time, the goddamn eMachines computer is with...
